1 pint homemade whipped laundry soap. Add 1 TBSP per load of laundry in any type of machine (convential, front loader, high capacity, high efficiency, etc.). Do not add to the detergent compartment, but directly in with the dirty clothes. This pint will wash 32 loads. That's 15.5 cents per load!
This can be stored indefinitely, but will become slighter firmer as it sits. We have had no issues with clothes fading due to use, and no issues with our HE washer or septic. We've use this recipe for 3 years.
We strive to use all organic ingredients in everything we make at home. Unfortunately, this is one of the only items in which we can't. The products we use to make our soap is as minimalistic (free of unnecessary additives and chemicals) and as natural occurring as we could get.
